MECC Maastricht organizes and facilitates conferences, exhibitions and events in a multifunctional and intimate conference and exhibition centre with European allure, where custom-designed services are offered along with the chance for people to actually meet each other in the ambience so typical of Maastricht.

In 1996 Amsterdam RAI acquired 75% of the shares in the Maastricht Exhibition & Congress Centre. Even though MECC Maastricht is part of Amsterdam RAI, it operates entirely independently and has its own strategic objectives, target groups and market propositions.

There is an overlap between some business units, processes and customer groups. With a view to ensuring that the Business Development and Marketing & Innovation departments of MECC Maastricht and Amsterdam RAI can cooperate as effectively as possible, Increso was commissioned to carry out a Synergy Project. Besides the objective of increased cooperation with each other, we were also asked to create more value. This means value which could not just be measured by an increase in knowledge exchanges or more effective processes, but also via an increase in turnover, either for MECC Maastricht, or for Amsterdam RAI.
