The Dutch Association of Optometrists (Optometristen Vereniging Nederland, OVN) was set up on 16 March 2000. Since its establishment the OVN has devoted itself to promoting the position of optometrists as independent professionals who provide basic eye care services. The focus is on both the professional actions of the optometrist and implementation in practice. The OVN works closely with all optometrists and is keen to give clients and other interested parties information about the eye care services that optometrists provided.

The OVN organises an annual congress for its members every 2 years. In March 2023 Increso managed to organise a successful congress for almost 1,000 participants and over 25 sponsors in close corporation with the OVN office. This assignment clearly brought together a wide range of facets such as event design, sales, logistics and the staging of a scientific congress.
